The folding mechanism of the Series 1 has been built using aerospace safety principles, namely design margins and redundancy. It uses two automotive latches, which could sustain much more than the maximum anticipated loads on their own. Each latch, and our folding mechanism as a whole, have been thoroughly tested to ensure their safety, robustness and reliability. We use extremely strict and thorough safety and testing guidelines, previously unseen in the e-scooter and e-bike industry.
